Sports Therapy and Bodywork

At CS Mind and Body, Bodywork Sessions blend Sports Therapy and advanced hands-on manual techniques to relieve pain, improve movement and support long-term results.

This isn’t a passive “lie there and relax” treatment. Bodywork is an active, movement-led approach designed to help your body function better — whether you’re an athlete, fitness enthusiast or simply dealing with everyday aches, stiffness or recurring pain.

With 30 years’ experience as a Personal Trainer, I combine clinical skill with a deep understanding of how the body moves.

The result? Real, lasting change — not just short-term relief.

Sessions help you feel better, move more freely and get back to doing what you love with confidence.

What Is Bodywork?

Bodywork is a hands-on, movement-focused approach that examines how your body moves, compensates and holds tension — and then works to restore balance, mobility and function.

It goes beyond traditional sports massage by combining manual therapy with movement assessment and corrective strategies. While it’s popular with athletes, bodywork is for anyone who wants to move and feel better.

We use a blend of advanced techniques, including deep tissue work, myofascial release, instrument-assisted therapy and guided breathing to:

  • Relieve pain and muscle tightness
  • Improve flexibility and range of motion
  • Reduce Injury Risk
  • Support rehab and recovery
  • Boost circulation and healing
  • Help you move more efficiently and comfortably
  • Improve circulation and tissue health

Whether you’re recovering from training, managing an injury or just want your body to work better day-to-day, Bodywork supports your body as a whole — not just the symptoms.

Some of the Techniques Used
in a bodywork session?

Every session is tailored to your body, your goals and how you move. Below are some of the techniques that may be included as part of your Bodywork treatment. (Click any technique in blue to learn more.)

  • Deep Tissue Massage – Releases stubborn tension and restores movement
  • Trigger Point Therapy – Targets and releases tight “knots” causing pain
  • Myofascial Decompression –  Improves blood flow and tissue mobility
  • IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation) – Uses tools to break down scar tissue and improve tissue quality
  • Voodoo Flossing – Boosts joint mobility and reduces swelling with compression bands
  • Kinesiology Taping – Supports joints and muscles, reduces swelling, and helps improve body awareness and posture during movement
  • Injury Assessment & Rehab Planning – Combines clinical know-how with fitness expertise to get you back stronger

You’ll always leave with a clear aftercare plan — from stretches and activation or mobility drills to strength-based rehab — to keep your progress going between sessions.

Who Is Bodywork For?

Bodywork is ideal for:

Improves blood flow and tissue mobility, basically. If your body feels tight, restricted, or “not quite right”, — this is for you.

This is bodywork with purpose — not just treatment, but education and support for better movement long-term.
